Official Thomas Kushin Homepage: Music: Penguin Borealis (2009)

Interpreting non-idiomatic music is subjective. The solitary hunter, weary traveler, lonely lover and lost sailor have always sought a sign, a direction home, be it a halo around the moon, Polaris, or a bloody rose. The work of Thomas Kushin is a sliver of faint moonlight shining upon a treacherous, narrow trail, winding through corridors of time, capturing the omnipresent bathos of life. Emerging out of the rubble of a desperate, viral post-culture and in the midst of worldwide contemplative plague, Penguin Borealis proves to be a source of comfort and balm for troubled minds: "Dry Gulch" (alto sax improvisation), "Petrologist" (ambient), "Myelin Sheath" (alto sax improvisation), "Penguin Borealis" (ambient).
